Chapel Hill Farmhouse Kitchen With Layered Lighting

Our Portfolio

Project Description

This Chapel Hill kitchen was designed in-house as a French-inspired farmhouse, and we tried to keep the budget reasonable while still getting the details right. The cabinets are natural hickory with a shaker door, trimmed around the existing faux beams so the room stayed balanced.

The old table-height island became a larger working island, and we moved the farmhouse sink so you can look up and look out. We also added a small beverage center with a microwave in the corner and found a better place for the refrigerator. Lighting does a lot of the work here: lights inside the drawers, upper and under-cabinet lighting, and lit floating shelves. We also added a new mantel over the fireplace.
