Project Description
These Wake Forest clients made the decision that they would remodel their current home instead of relocating and shopping the Triangle’s treacherous housing market. This remodel pivoted off the widening of a load bearing wall between the kitchen and living room. Once the five-foot opening was decided on, the cabinet design was to follow. It was a challenge making the existing appliance configuration work with the new layout due to mounting methods of undermount sinks vs the typical drop-in sinks. Nevertheless, we were able find a solution and fit all necessary appliances in the new cabinet layout. This project also featured a bathroom renovation, reconfiguration of floor space to create a larger pantry and a storage closet, painting of the entire downstairs, and installing a garden window.
