At Prince & Sons, 2021 has been quite a challenging year. Dealing with COVID as well as the many challenges currently facing the construction industry, we’re thankful to still be working with so many amazing homeowners. Because of this we’ve recently added another member to the Prince & Sons team. We’re extremely excited about our new hire, Isac Dominguez and what he’s able to bring to our company. We hired Isac in the spring as a punch man and trim carpenter. He has quickly adjusted to how we operate and is already a key part of our success here at Prince & Sons. Isac is a fast learner and is already well on his way to becoming a project manager.
Allow us to introduce you to Isac!
How long have you been in the construction industry?
I’ve been in the construction industry full time for 14 years.
What is your background in construction?
I started working with my Dad doing cabinet installations and I was also on a trim crew. Since then, I’ve been a handyman, and I started working on commercial jobs installing paneling and casework. Some of the biggest or most exciting projects I’ve worked on include the Wake County Justice Center, Capital One headquarters and the JB Duke hotel. Most recently I worked as a cabinet maker in a local cabinet shop where I was able to learn and hone my skills as a woodworker.
What is your favorite work related task and why?
My favorite task would be woodworking. Nothing beats the feeling of planning out my next piece, milling, cutting, gluing, assembling and watching it become something from nothing. Having the finished product in my hands is confirmation that I can make whatever I set my sights on. I also enjoy watching my pieces being used as they were intended.
Where are you from?
I was born in Mexico City, but I grew up in Chapel Hill.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies would include camping, hiking, traveling, grilling and of course woodworking!
We’re extremely excited to add Isac to our team and we feel strongly that he will be an integral part of our growth in the months and years to come. We hope you’ll say hey to Isac when you see him on one of our jobs around the Triangle!
