As many of you know, we spent the past few months working diligently on two full home remodel projects down on Bald Head Island. We’ve already published a blog on the other home renovation, but we thought it would be informative to feature the second home as well.
This beautiful beach house received a full home remodel from top to bottom and we’re extremely proud of the finished project. Feel free to browse through the pictures below and be sure to reach out to our team if you have any questions about this project.
Before Shot of Great Room
The great room saw a variety of updates including the replacement of dated laminate countertops with granite countertops. We also installed an undermount stainless steel sink to accentuate the countertops and to match the new appliances. The kitchen plumbing fixture was replaced with an updated chrome single handle pull down faucet. We also installed a mosaic tile backsplash to add a focal point in the kitchen, which is complimented with updated LED undercabinet lighting. While the original cabinets were kept, all cabinet knobs and pulls were replaced to propose a much more cohesive and modern look. With an eye towards energy efficiency, we replaced the existing recessed lighting with LED can lights.
Additional renovations in the great room and kitchen included new paint throughout as well as sheetrock repairs, painted barstools to match the wicker dining chairs, a new hanging light fixture, removal of the trash compactor and a new ceiling fan.
For safety reasons we also added a hinged safety gate at the top of the stairwell to match existing handrails.

Finally, we installed a new ceiling fan and LED recessed lighting, along with painting all walls as well as the ceiling and trim.

Demo Shot of Guest Bathroom
The guest bathroom renovation involved completely removing the dated fiberglass shower and installing a custom tile base and surround as well as a granite vanity countertop and undermount sink. We also installed tile floor to match the shower surround and installed all new chrome plumbing fixtures and accessories. We also added LED recessed lighting, a new Toto toilet and fresh wall paint throughout.

Before Shot of Master Bathroom
The master bathroom saw some of the most extensive renovations in the entire home. We started with a dated jacuzzi tub and framed glass and tile shower. We removed the existing tub and shower and installed a new free standing tub and custom tile shower to give the entire bathroom a more modern, clean look. By removing shelving from inside the bathroom as well as reducing the size of the guest bedroom closet, we were able to increase the overall size of the bathroom.
We used a custom tile flooring and surround along with a mosaic accent band. We also installed new granite vanity tops as well as undermount sinks. New chrome plumbing fixtures were installed throughout as well as new cabinet knobs and pulls. We also installed new LED lighting as well as a new Toto toilet. We’re currently waiting on a frameless glass shower surround to finish this bathroom oasis.
