Danbury Style with Oyster Glaze Kitchen
The landscape, on which this home was built, provided a perfect scene for the kitchen to overlook as farmland and wooded acreage surrounded the residence. With a wooden shed just outside the kitchen window, it only made sense to tie that connection from the landscape to the kitchen living space. We were able to achieve this by using a ceramic tile backsplash that had a weathered wood grain design that was similar in color to the shed’s appearance. We also integrated a similar color scheme for the trim, doors, and cabinets. This particular cabinet color is “Ironwood” with “Oyster glaze” on the “Danbury” style cabinet from the “Jim Bishop Cabinet” collection. We were able to preserve that southern home charm using those elements while also accomplishing a sleek and elegant aspect using “Ashen White” granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and receptacle covers, LED under cabinet lights, and updated electrical and plumbing fixtures.
