Farmville, NC Whole Home Renovation

Completed Renovation

In the Summer of 2015 we were hired by a local Durham, NC family that was looking to renovate a 1970’s farmhouse in Farmville, NC. Through the addition of modern conveniences such as granite tops, new cabinets, fresh paint, refinished hardwood floors, a roof over the front stoop and an extra entry, we were able to meet the client’s needs as well as improving upon the characteristic and flow of the space through an open floor plan.

Removing the walls presented us with the challenge of integrating the hardwood floors of two rooms that were originally installed at two different heights. We were required to take up all of the floors in the dining room, add a layer of underlayment, and then weave the hardwood back into the existing floors for a seamless transition.

Adding a roof that provided more coverage over the front stoop was important to the client. Having somewhere to sit and enjoy the outdoors was high on the priority list.

Removing the partition walls, painting the wooden doors and paneling allowed the natural light to reflect throughout the space, resulting in a noticeable change in the personality of the living area.
